An interview with Chris Ronald, VP EMEA at Blackhawk Network

In April 2022, The Bank of England, the Office for Budget Responsibility and other bodies predicted that if inflation continued on the trajectory, it was currently on, we’d be facing the worst cost-of-living crisis since the 1950s, and unfortunately today’s inflation figure of 10.1% suggest we are indeed headed that way. So, we, as people in the UK, are in a bit of trouble. We’ve got a rise in insecure jobs but stagnant pay and resignations, inflation rates are soaring and we can’t ignore the commodity price shock from the war in Ukraine. It’s clear each and every one of us will be affected but perhaps there is some relief if we turn our attention to the businesses that employ us.

Our Founder Hadie, speaks to Chris Ronald, VP EMEA at Blackhawk Network about how the cost-of-living crisis is affecting the responsibilities of employers.
