Prezzee launch in the UK and US in time for Christmas

Leading Aussie eGift Card company provides shoppers with all the big brands in one place for simple, contactless gifting in the UK and US this Christmas.

Prezzee, one of Australia’s fastest growing fintech companies, launched this Tuesday in the UK, following the successful launch in the US 2 weeks ago. Prezzee launches with a portfolio of leading global brand eGift cards and the Prezzee Smart eGift Card – the one gift card that unlocks all the leading retailer gift cards – just in time to provide shoppers in the UK and US with simple, contactless gifts for social distancing this Christmas.

The USA launch of Prezzee follows the launch of Prezzee’s white label marketplace to BNPL giants in the USA earlier this year and will be followed in the UK in December as Prezzee seeks to capture a share of the combined USA and UK gift card market, which is 42 times larger than the Australian market.

Prezzee’s growth trajectory in Australia is fueling the global move, as Covid-19 and lockdown continues to accelerate changing consumer behaviour towards digital gift cards over plastic. We plan to more than triple our growth over the next 3 years.

Prezzee launches its US marketplace in the US with over 75 retail giants, home to thousands of brands and stores across the US. These include Macy’s, Spotify, Uber Eats, Ulta, Lowes, Bed Bath & Beyond and many more.

Prezzee launches into the UK marketplace with more than 50 major British retail partners, like M&S, Argos, John Lewis, Sainsbury’s, New Look, Ted Baker, Curry’s PC World, Asda and more. The portfolio of retail partners also includes global brands Nike, Footlocker, Adidas and more.

Some key background stats:

  • In Australia FY20 over FY19 saw Prezzee record almost 300% growth across consumer gifting, corporate gifting and white label marketplaces.
  • The Australian portfolio of merchant partners has now exceeded 130.
  • We forecast 4m gift cards in FY21 and we’re well on track to exceed this target due to the accelerating growth of the past few months, plus recent growth in US BNPL transactional volume.
  • Prezzee’s Australian team (which has grown from 28 pre-lockdown, to 52 plus an additional 6 open roles this week)  is spearheading the USA launch from Sydney and Melbourne, demonstrating the ease and speed of virtual deal making (with BNPL partners) for e-commerce as the world fully embraces technology and digital tools to enhance collaboration and increase productivity. Following the launches, we plan to rapidly recruit teams on the ground in the US and UK.
